This set of digital plans includes all 7 knee brace cutting templates we have available, on 36” x 48” (ARCH E) drawing sheets. The templates are complementary to the premade pergola plans we have available and are interchangeable with the knee braces detailed in the plans already. You do not need to make any adjustments to your plans (or to the knee brace templates) in order to use them when building a pergola from our plans.
Note that some of the patterns use 2x8 material instead of the 2x6 material we typically specify for knee braces in our plans. The minimum depth of the braces is kept to 3-1/2” (or 89 mm, equivalent to a 2x4 depth) for strength.
